On 23 January 2019 the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in The Netherlands was present at an important networking event organised by the Amsterdam American Business Club. To discuss further cooperation and to plan future events, Mr. Bob Juchter van Bergen Quast, Vice President of the SCCN met with Dr. Paul Broholm, private banker and President of the Yale Club of The Netherlands; Mrs. Ria Persad, entrepreneur and Chief Climate Change Councillor of the Caribbean ASEAN Voluntary Council for Sustainable Development Goals; and Mr. Eric Burnik, entrepreneur and Sponsoring Chair of the AABC. The meeting was very successful and resulted in the organisation of an international network event in The Hague in April 2019. More details will be shared on our blog as soon as possible.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) represents ten (10) member countries in Southeast Asia that comprises mature and emerging economies and is paving the way for growth across the globe. The Caribbean is a treasure trove of boundless investment potential and a champion for climate change resilience around the world. It is a peaceful region ready and open for business. The Caribbean ASEAN Voluntary Council for Sustainable Development Goals (Caribbean ASEAN Council), is the conduit connecting these two regions.

The Amsterdam American Business Club is a professional networking organization whose main purpose is to help improve business contacts between Dutch and American companies in and around Amsterdam. Consisting primarily of American and Dutch business people, the club also includes a broad variety of nationalities and professional backgrounds.

Founded more than 30 years ago in 1983, the Amsterdam American Business Club was meeting informally even before that. With nearly 1000 members and Interested Parties the AABC is the professional network club for making and maintaining business contacts in an enjoyable, informal setting.
